voting time!

it's election day in the US. make your vote counts! if you're a US citizen, that is.

masa study dulu familiar gak dgn nama barack obama tapi x ingat la kenapa (democratic rep ke, senate ke, aku pun x sure), tapi yg pastinya dia represent illinois time tu. selalu nampak poster dia merata2 chicago. kagum la siket2 kan, african-american, muda lak tu.

sekali bila baca dia nak run for president, ceh rasa mcm ada connection la kan (tumpang sekaki), hehe pdhal bukannya aku pernah dgr speech dia ke, jumpa in person ke. still, if i were to vote, most probably my vote goes to you. sorry la palin, your 'openness' (or lack thereof) doesn't attract me one bit.

teringat masa 2004 US election, byk classmates kelas Arab aku mmg anti-bush. siap tanya ustaz, "how to say / write "NO TO WAR" in Arabic?" then letak kat basikal. mostly mmg bengang sbb bush sokong war on iraq tu la. ada one of my classmates yg amik arab tu siap kena drafted lagi in the middle of semester. mcm mana la agaknya rasa, dah la org keliling kondem, ko lak kena turut perintah gi perang.

pastu masa bush menang, ada sorg tu bising2 kat kelas, mcm mana bush boleh menang, sedangkan fr survey john kerry (democratic candidate) ada harapan nak menang. siap ckp, "where were all muslims? you're supposed to vote for kerry." as if US muslim citizens ramai (tapi ada sorg budak msia dulu eligible to vote, kitorg suruh dia vote kerry hehe)... tapi itu cerita lama.

kenapa aku sibuk? 'coz we know who controls the US, controls the world. maybe i should say 'who controls the ones controlling the US, controls the world'. let's hope for the better.
